I love Twitter.
I think the main reason I like it so much is because you’re allowed to post as much pointless stuff as you want as many times a day as you want. And when I’ve already done a status on Facebook and it’s totally not acceptable to do another one, I can just do it on Twitter! Plus you can stalk celebrities. Also, the verified Lady Gaga is following me, so how can I not love it?
The name kind of enticed me to this website in the first place! It is an illustration agency site that I happened to come across and stocks a big list of great illustrators that you can get in contact with and look at their work. I found it very helpful and liked the simple yet exciting and colourful layout.
Sadly, my friend from school, Kayleigh, lost her brother Conor Hall on the 16th of June 2011. He fell off his moped and didn’t have his helmet clipped up, which led to him being in intensive care from the 11th of June up until his death. He didn’t have any broken bones or marks on him, apart from on his head – he had brain surgery but sadly did not save him.
So Kayleigh and her family are trying to get the message out that people need to clip their helmets up when driving on a moped or motorbike, and have created this awareness campaign called ‘Clip Up For Conor’ which I think is a really great idea because it is bringing something positive out of this horrible accident and saving lives.
They have a Facebook and a Twitter page that you can visit if you want to get in contact or get leaflets to hand out.
It would be really helpful if you could “Like” the Facebook and would mean a lot to Conor’s family and friends.
I just thought her little illustration of the brain on the left hand side was quite quirky and cute, but also found it a very easy to use website which is always good, it clearly led you around her portfolio and about her pages which is useful for her as an artist because the user doesn’t feel baffled by all of the technology or widgets they have to deal with.
I love this. I always go there if I want to see what kind of fashion people from all around the world are wearing. That’s what is so great about it, you can see fashion from other countries and see how diverse or similar it can be. I love the quirky outfits people put together on there and also it is a really easy website to use. It is also good because you have to be invited by other people to join so it’s difficult to make numerous accounts that clog up the site.
