Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi is a French Designer who is best known for designing the Statue of Liberty which stands in New York Harbor. The statue was a gift to America from the people of France, and was dedicated on October 28, 1886. The Statue of Liberty is one of my favourite architectural pieces primarily due to the detailing of the drapery and its iconic meaning of Freedom for the United States of America.
